The evening started with a wee test of the home made sloe gin to see how it was doing, then descended into a few cans of Orchard theives.

The Madiran is going down better tonight than last night, reds often seem a bit more mellow the second night.

Nothing last night as I was driving late and riding early today.

This afternoon was a bottle of Haute Cote de Nuits with lunch and a glass of Caol Isla tonight.

I’m currently blocking a third! (long shift) pint of Camden pale ale .
I have to get home soon,before the curry arrives. Hurrah.

2 fingers of laphroaig tonight, so one less than last night.

Just had a glass of chilled English Pale Ale and thinking I’ll open a bottle of Majestic Definition Rioja next.

( highly recommended btw, by better qualified people than me!)

I can confirm this is outstanding Rioja Reserva for £9.99 which under it’s independent label costs around £18 so amazing value.

Currently enjoying some Pol Roger Brut……….as good as ever
