A 4e 2013 Crouseille Madiran. Excellent, with a longer cork it would be worth keeping a few years.

Just had a glass of chilled English Pale Ale and thinking I’ll open a bottle of Majestic Definition Rioja next.

( highly recommended btw, by better qualified people than me!)

Whilst cooking and eating dinner, did away with 3 black sheep that were discounted from co-op. Now I’m apparently a bad person.

Don’t be silly, you can tell from that thread that drinking is big and clever.
Last glass of Merlot to finish off the bottle. Might pop back to Lidls for another few bottles so I fit in.

Minor psa, I am test driving Lidl’s Bruin/doubel belgian brown ale stuff. Patrous I think it’s called. 6.5% £4.99 for 4x330ml. Not bad, does taste a wee bit sharper than say Leffe or similar. Booze is a bit more obvious, but not bad.

called into a pub in Leeds this afternoon, The House Of Favours.
the beer was crap. 1 pint of araura which was sour. 1 pint of leeds pale which was watery and a pint of gathering storm stout, which was far too cold.

gonna hit the jura superstition, which i dont really like, to drown my sorrows.

Excellent choice. Local wine shop couldn’t sell his ventouse stock because people didn’t understand how good it wa, s was forced to sell if off -50% so I snapped it up. I am his only vwntiux customer!

Aussie Shiraz blended wit merlot and straight shiraz. New purchases and drunk over chilli and bridge with ILs !!! Oddly the straight Shiraz was smoother and better than the blend, Not what I was expecting, Too much for early morning tennis 🙁

A couple of pints of Exmoor Ale over the pub, a finger or so of what’s left of my Caol Ila 1991 Signatory Vintage at home listening to the new Kate Bush Before The Light album.

Couple of schooners Colonial pale ale from the growler, bottle of Sunner kolsch and a decent slug of Dalwhinnie. Running out of the Dalwhinnie though which is a bit sad. Celebrating Thanksgiving today with the American outlaws so have a selection of US beers chilling.
