I am in the market for a road bike for long day rides (no racing but maybe some sportives as and when I feel like it) and have sat astride a couple of carbon models today circa £1.5-2K but like the idea of a bike for life ie Ti frame as they do not seem to cost a whole deal more. The carbon bikes still seemed to flex at the BB (more than I was expecting) and I have a constant concern about the longeveity of carbon for my lardy arse and the non drop ability of it.
I also then thought it may be nice for my winter/local riding On One 456 to be upgraded by buying the On One 456 Evo Ti frame but if I was to do that then I would feel that I should only get an alu road bike.
So STW world those of you that own either a Ti road bike or a Ti 456 extol the virtues or indeed talk me out of either….I need help in deciding.
