    The nightmare continues…

Just when you thought it was safe to go out.

Just when you had forgotten the misery.

I was at Glentress last night, and had stopped and was having a chat with me mates… then I got attacked by a big fat hairy midge! Aaaaaaarrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhh!

I have high hopes for Smidge. As far as I am aware, it is the first product to have been researched and developed in Scotland particularly to deal with the midge and not just a generic anti-insect, or cosmetic product.

Jeeze, you’re worried about midges? Bunch of pansies. 🙄

Guinea-Worm; now that’s something to be worried about…

No midges to report here in Glencoe yet. I have my midge magnet machine on standby, all primed and ready to go 🙂

    I’d punch the little bastards.

Just cover yourself in lemon juice.

And smoke. Smoking keeps them away.

It must be nearly a month since I was first bitten this season.

Keep up at the back. (location Greenhall woods, High Blantyre, South Lanarkshire).

    They don’t bother me much.

I take Vit B in the season. It used to keep the sandflies away in Oz and seems to work with Midges.

It’s always best to have some fresh meat* along though.

just back from a week in caithness and sutherland and saw a total of 1 of the little buggers.

locals are saying it’s going to be a bumper year for them as the heavy snowfall prevented the ground freezing hard and killing off the midgies.

just glad we got our trip in before the got going
