How is Thetford holding up after the dank miserable weekend?
I may get a flier from work and fancy somewhere new.
Also – where is the best place to park?

Hi Senior J –

Park at Brandon Country Park for free. You can either cross the road and pick up the way marked trails or ride on the BCP side which is less used and generally has better singletrack.

After the rain the marked trails are likely to have standing water.

Next weekend is the Dusk to Dawn race and if the weather remains like this it will get chewed up,

I’d suggest staying on the BCP side and finding your own trails.

Bish, AFAIK BCP isn’t free any more, but it’s still considerably cheaper than High Lodge.

BCP is 50p for weekdays & £2 for all day on the weekend.

Best singleterack to be found on BCP side, but waymarked trails over the road.
The Black & the Red will be soggy…..

Yep – that’s the bunny.

I was there on Sat and used the mapping thing on my phone. If you have a gps I can perhaps send you it as a gpx file? Not sure whether a gps would make any sense of it, but perhaps worth a go?
I made a few wrong turns, but it would get you started….

stumpy01 – thank you , but no gps – compass will do.
Basically -if i hit a road or run out of trees I’ve gone too far! 😀

I plan to explore and do the marked routes after.
