Jesus, I’m not looking forward to this (she’s only 2.5 at the moment). The thing is I’ll be mid-50s by the time she’s of “bringing boys home” age. Im not into all this polishing shotguns thing… but I don’t want any prospective suitors thinking I’m just a harmless old man – if I can cause him to pause and think for a moment, that’ll do me.

I’m in the gym 2-3 times a week now. If nothing else, my Son is 11 and it’s getting harder to wrestle him now, the sod is climbing, parkour, mtb – it’s harder and harder to keep fighting fit.

Bet they’ve been at it the whole time they were in the room.

Dirty these kids are these days with the stuff they see online. Turned them into right filthy animals.

You name it they’re doing it.. Right now.

As many have said, it’s perfectly natural and nothing to worry about. Now if there’s a different boy up there tonight, we could be looking at a different scenario. 👿

From what a friend of mine is going through I’ve learnt one thing. So Not Read Texts.

    Ignorance is bliss.

Although the corkers of a texts-

“I want to get you pregnant so I can see you everyday” and not forgetting “I could of slept with my ex but I didn’t coz I love you”
has brought much amusement to the biking group.

That’s just outrageous, it’s ‘Could have’!! Castration is too good for these people.

Better this happens where your daughter feels safe than in the back of a Clio (I’ve 2 daughters and feel your pain).

Used to do it regularly in the front of my ’53 Morris Minor. It had proper reclining bucket seats, though, so much easier than trying to do it in the back.
Front wing was just the right height for her to sit on, too… 😉

My eldest is nearly 13. So I can also see this approaching like a freight train, maybe not fast but it’s not stopping either.

Thankfully her mum is sensible and dealing with these matters sensitively, and the daughters sensible anyway. Because I am not in the least bit scary.

Fortunately though – one of her uncles is ex-military and security, and the other is a prison officer trained in hostage and anti-riot situations. I don’t need to be scary, instead I’m planning a party for her 13th where they can both be in attendance.

My eldest is 14 this year, I’m more scared for him having seen some of the girls at his school…. 🙁

I guess the main thing is to teach them (daughters) about being safe and how to value themselves. My brother has two daughters who are children, and I’ve not thought of anything better so far.

My teenage friends who were female valued themselves and didn’t get pregnant, they were aware to the double standards for the sexes.

I specialised in boys to avoid the OP’s conundrum.
