I cannot remember the Vic’s tattoo but that is brilliant.

I am not sure about a favourite moment, maybe Mrs Doyle being escorted from the living room by father Ted whilst she is coming out with filth and they are both clearly in hysterics at the end

This is another vic and bob one, very simple and silly but it makes me laugh every time.

If that is the one with Joe Wilkinson describing naming the penis in the male toilets, then I’d go with that!

As above, most of Father Ted/Only Fools (“you said it was a 24hr tip Trigger?” etc)/Fawlty Towers/Blackadder etc.

Think the crowning glory though was Bob Mortimer and his team mates doing the Rosalind song on Taskmaster.

The 8 out of 10 cat poem is v.funny.

I remember laughing uncontrollably at the Bottom episode “Gas”

    Or

I have a bit of a tin ear especially for US comedy, but Father Ted gets me every time, i think it’s because as its height, i was a student working in an irish pub, and we used to watch it on big screen after work, and the irish lads explained how daring and close to the bone some of it was.

We’re currently finding Ted Lasso rather excellent and it stands up to multiple viewings. There are a lot of brilliant jokes in there that they don’t point out, make obvious or expect immediate recognition for. Clever little throw away word plays that have had me howling and rewinding for the Mrs.

It’s up there with Del Boy and the bar but I can’t link it here for obvious reasons, Sean Locke on Countdown when Rachel dresses up as a viking.

The rake scene in The Simpsons “Cape Feare” episode. I had to pause the show as I could no longer see.

Also pretty much anything with Frankie Boyle on buzzcocks

Blimey, I never knew Frankie Boyle presented a series of Buzzcocks!
Some of the “but before I go…” speeches on New World Order had me hysterical. One where he listed a load of bizarre sexual positions in particular. Genius.

Just look on YouTube for any Sean Locke stuff from 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown…hard to top it.

If we’re including radio, then the whole of Cabin Pressure, Humph on ISIHAC and Julian and Sandy on Round The Horne.
The first Radio 4 series of The League Of Gentlemen was far, far better than the TV show.

    Ed Reardon was so sharp.
Until I turned into Ed Reardon.

    Early Kenny Everett.

    Barry Humphries on Parky.

Oh, and Spine Millington putting a paper bag on his head and hopping toward the camera whilst playing the trumpet.

As others say, series like father ted with the Chinese, or the lingerie section, or thff egg plane, so many. Same with IT crowd, gay the musical, the religious folk being shown round, countdown and so on, a generation before and you have only fools and all the classics, and many more great series.

I find we do a lot of good stuff that is short lived, same with Frankie Boyle on bbc, he has the Richard Hammond and Rebecca adlington jokes, a few others and then it was watered down.
