So I’ve just entered my first Bike race since 1991.

Should be a great weekend.

Doing it for the second time. Last year was brilliant. Get ready for 3 hard days in the saddle and awesome trails! Hopefully its dry this year 🙂

3rd year running for me! The crowd of my riding friends entering gets bigger each year! Fantastic event 🙂

I entered the one with the reduced number of stages before we found out my wife was pregnant, due date is within a few days of the event, it’s a 3.5hr drive so unlikely I will be going now 🙁

Couple of spaces still available..

Two weeks to go and I’ve just caught a cold. Grrr. A bit more climbing than I had expected!

Friday: 34km – 1,500m of climbing – 7 special stages
Saturday: 50km – 1,850m of climbing – 8 special stages (with one EXTRA special stage)
Sunday: 29km – 1,500m of climbing – 6 special stages

Got a cold? I had and an otb the other night and gave myself whiplash…. Perfect preparation for three days of solid riding 😀

I wanna do this next year!

Dmr had a 3 year deal. Not sure what will happen next year 🙁 Fingers crossed mike will sort some sponsorship.

Whatever happens, I’m getting excited about this year’s event! Also getting worried about lack of long distance training and suffering from cramp, which I’ve always had problems with. Hey ho, please don’t rain!
