    I have a feeling that one of my favourite childhood books is about to be ruined in a Hollywood stylee.

    OMG you are so right to be concerned if they are talking “some survived and fought their way back home” cos IIRC in the book only one survived and he went native, cos he helps the hero and his mate to escape with the eagle
