The Biketree, Dore, Sheffield.

Friendly local Sheffield bike shop, thebiketree, were unfortunately paid an unwelcome visit in the early hours of the 6th October by some less than friendly types!

Armed with a 4×4 and some anchor chain, the unsavory robbers proceeded to pull out an entire building window and frame, before fleeing with around 20 complete bikes and frames!

Local police were on the scene within 10 minutes of the GSM alarm system raising the alarm, but the opportunistic thieving scum had already fled, leaving half of the shop front spread all over the car park.

The bikes and frames stolen were a random mix of items nearest the ‘removed’ window, suggesting that the thieves were more opportunistic than selective.
