- The 50 year storm
Know there are a few surfers on here. Sounds like the Bells contest (live from about 10pm on the world surf league facebook / website) should have some pretty solid waves the next couple of days.
Bells was the venue for the final scenes in point break, hence the title, for the non-surf-savvy.
I’ve not surfed much the last few years, and totally lost interest in watching contests when one manouver waves started to be scored highly, but I’m pretty excited to watch this later (or more likely on replay as its AUS time).

day 4 highlights looked pretty brutal conditions.Posted 9 months ago
Yeah watch a bit in the middle of the night, lots of broken boards and ripped out leash plugs. Didn’t seem that much bigger than I rembver seeing in previous years, maybe tonigh if the wind is better and a bit less warp in the ocen they might stand up more. crazy how short boards they were talking about riding.Posted 9 months agoCountZeroMember
Yeah. But then they were sitting on the inside to get ones with half reasonable shape and wearing 8ft mushburgers on the head. After one wipeout Italo Ferrera got washed all the way into the winkipop lineup!
Painting pictures with words! I have no idea what any of that means, except for someone getting wiped out.Posted 9 months ago
