I have just built my first bike and I couldn’t have done it without you. It weighs just under 11k with pedals, bar-ends and mud guard. I am very happy with it.

A nice contrast of modern (dropper post) and retro (ski bar ends)!

Can’t crit the bike or the lawn.

Horizon could do with a tad of a straighten. Left hand down a touch.

seat looks like a storm troopers cod piece, mud guard will be horrific in mud. Otherwise good effort. Also your garden needs more log sheds.

Cheers, I will congratulate the council park’s dept on the lawn.
The bar-ends are standard size, the photo just makes them look huge.
I agree the tree looks weird.
I thought I would give the mud guard a go as keep being blinded by muddy water.
It is just a standard 26inch small frame carbon Whippet. Have weighed it at 10.94 kilos.
I did try to line up the logos but obviously failed.
I don’t care if he is ugly. I am going to call him Norman.
Yes I do need a log shed.

OP are you feline?? Some of the language you use suggests you are a *Gulp* Girl!! 😯

Apols if you’re a fella…Good job on building your own bike if you’re a “wimmins”…Bar-ends aside, a very good job indeed!

Yes, I am a girl, hence the stormtrooper’s cod piece saddle.
I know bar-ends aren’t cool but I get pain in my hands and being able to change hand position really helps.
Fenred I want you to know that I didn’t find your post in anyway immensely patronising 😀
Norman is a silly name for a cat. My cat is called Howard.

Funny thing is, I did build it in the kitchen. I can’t get in his shed. I had a mucky nutz on my old bike and it was fine. It just modelled the clag into an extra thick slick tyre.

That’s a cracking first go, I’d be pround of that myself.

And you’ve managed to take a decent photo of it, which I could never do!
