2nd the Don Julio. Lovely stuff. Tequila has a bad rep in this country due to the shitey white spirit that people consume as shots. A good sipping tequila is as good as any scotch imo.

Got some very nice aged mezcal in Peru I’ve not tried the don Juan.

The stuff you get in clubs here is world’s apart !

Did a tour of Mexico in 2016. Some of the tequila had been aged, tasted and looked like whisky.

Did a pub crawl on our day off drank massive shots of mezcal instead of beer. It didn’t end well.

I should say that on the occasions I drink tequila its from the lower end of the market. I’ve drunk it with plenty of girls, but none of them have been ‘ladies’
