Roval Traversee – £600 & 1550g. The rear hub on the Roval’s is also basically a DT Swiss 240 so you’re arguably getting a better hub than the Easton’s.
Why pay £1400 more for the Easton’s to only save 100g?!? :-O
I’ve got a set of Traversees and though I love them, they’re not massively strong and they’re pretty flexy. I don’t think it’s a fair comparison. Also, have you seen the Easton warranty? 2 years, no questions asked- so you can take your exotic rims downhill racing or dirt jumping, no problem. It’d be a brave man that did that on Traversees.
Compare that with “Send it to America” and “Oh, no we don’t have any parts for that wheelset in the UK” from specialized.
