    If anyone’s wondering what the Bristol trails are like at the moment, I think this picture (if you can see it) says it all:

    But despite the crappy weather, the stuff we’ve built over in 50 Acre Wood is holding up really well. Riding there last night I had a distinct sensation of moving forward, rather than just spinning on the spot, and the trail seemed to be staying on the ground instead of flying up and attaching itself to my down tube. Rather unusual for this time of year.

    Inevitably a few grotty bits have appeared, but we’ve got tonnes of stone, plus tools for about 15 people to get them armoured up (in an appropriately knobbly fashion). The next dig day is this Saturday, 10.00 until 4.00 – come and lend a hand, the trails will thank you for it.
