    Hi All
Has anyone had experience of using a)corian and b) quartz/silestone as their worktops. Just wanted to know how people found them in terms of durability, maintenance etc…
Also (due to a long and boring story) we have fallen out with the kitchen suppliers and plan to get the worktop from Kitchen worktops direct on the internet. Has anyone used them as reviews of their services seem to be none existent?
Hope someone can help because this debacle is making me miserable

Are you thinking of those products from a cost perspective?
If so, you can get granite at sensible prices from these guys, who I've just used.

Actually, their prices are exceptional, and the stone is well, stone. to be honest the fitters are are merely average, but fortunately it's just a bit of stone plonked on top of your cabinets so there isn't much to go wrong.

Overall, I'm really really pleased with my granite. Paid ~£2400 for about 7 linear metres with undermount sink and hob cut outs, and 2 joints (basically a U-shape worktop).
