Just seen these in Decathlon and the suns shining and getting me giddy for fun days out with the kids.
Kayaked a bit in the past and done a lil touring but the kids are now getting to the age where they would love to be doing this sort of thing.
Haven’t really thought about inflatable before but for the amount of space these take up we could get a couple and just throw them in the bacxk of the car on a whim

    Inflatable…. nay or yay???

these are the ones I just had a nosey at which seem pretty sturdy

They look like great fun. I’ve used inflatables once before in New Zealand – jet boat took us up into a National Park where we pumped them up and spent the day coming back downstream. These look much better than the ones we used, and they were pretty good. As you said, storing them would be much easier.

    Do it!

I have a sevylor Canyon – use it in the Thames with my wife, love it.

They’re hard work and having very little in the way of structure are uncomfortable to paddle in the correct way. If all you want to do is muck about near the beach, they’re fine, but if you have any intentions of travelling any sort of distance, give them a wide berth!
If you’re stuck for room, try a Tequila multi section kayak….

    We’ve got one of these : http://www.advancedelements.com/lagoon2.html

randomly found it in a Cambridge Cash Convertors for £80. Love it, sure it’s not suitable for epic paddling but for knocking about with the kids for a day it’s spot on; enough room for us + picnic and buckets and spades etc. We just need to use it more…

Factor in buying a buoyancy aid for you and the kids.
