Anyone got any advice on swapping rock shox uppers.

I have managed to get replacment uppers but will need to swap them over i know how to take the bottoms off and have oil charts but how hard is taking the internals out of the upper.

There Rockshox revelation 409, 2006 BTW

Not done any forks since about 2004.

Removing the internals is usually pretty simple, anything that doesn’t unscrew at the top will be held in by a circlip at the bottom. If you’re swapping due to wear, make sure the lowers are thoroughly cleaned inside, and maybe consider having the bushes replaced too.

If you’ve worn uppers, ime it’ll be a worn bush thats done it (thats caused my lack of oil/lots of use)

Fortunatly for me its just that the person who had them before me cut them to fit the frame and now i want them on a different frame they are way to short.

Revs are super simple to disassemble but you will need a 32 mm socket
