Really? This is the entire point of a marketing/ad campaign – to get people thinking/talking about a product.

Perhaps not you, because you’re clearly awesome and immune to all types of marketing, but for the hard of thinking here’s how it works: people think they’ve found an amusing slip-up so they post it on mtb/snowboarding/beekeeping forum/twitter/whatever. They have a good laugh but at the same time are made aware that Boyle has a new album out. Granted, they might not want it for themselves but they think, hang on, mum/dad/gran/whoever likes that kind of shit – BOOM – christmas pressie sorted. You did know christmas is just around the corner, right?
