If the new xc bike turns up in time I’m thinking of doing this, has anyone done it and if so what was it like?

I’ve not done any riding in the area so thought it’d be a good way of seeing what’s on offer – I’m assuming relatively undulating woodland tracks but could be completely wrong…

It’ll be our first time riding the event (and the area) too on Sunday..

Anyone suggest what the surface and going will be like, especially after this week’s rain? Is it the sort of mud that turns to clogging clay like a bit further south..?
