I live in Scotland. Therefore today *is* summer and will be a memory of seasons past by Tuesday.

My preparation therefore is to mtfu for a day.

Lycra, in a word.
Bib shorts
jersey with a full length zip
Lightweight, sleeveless baselayer if needed

No need to complicate it any more than that.

As a Scotsman, my melting point is 6C, so this weather requires serious preparation

Linen shirt – check
Seersucker shorts – check
Straw hat – check
Prescription sunglasses – check
Deckchair in the shade – check
Mixed drink – check
Feet in a paddling pool – check
