I was literally about to post about this, don’t want to thread hijack, but what do other runners suggest I do: I’ve got a small pain just behind the top of the kneecap, right leg, when I run, been here about a week, not sure to ‘run through it’ and keep training or leave off? I also feel it when I cycle. I woulnd’t say it’s painful but it’s defo sending a signal to say it’s not happy. I normally run trails, around 5-12k each run, doing a lot of ele. gain, so nothing crazy.

I had a knee issue a few years back and I went to BW Cycling, they were amazing and sorted me right out.

Many thanks, wondered if there was a specific physio at BW who sorted you out?

Same here. Physio was called Hayley.

My legs are relative mess after multiple operations and injuries over the years and David Lee at the physio clinic and Ben Conway at Bristol Physiotherapy have kept me riding. Would fully recommend either.

I had a good experience with Jake Tay at Physio Fit… it was quite bike fit specific, but he obviously knew his stuff

Can see the student physio’s at UWE for a few quid, overseen by grown up physios, but imo you get a proper lengthy sess and no assumptions made etc, can drop the email to sort via pm…

Leigh at top to toe on Wells Road helped sort a knee issue I had.

Well, sorting it took nearly two years and it’s not so much sorted as I know what’s up and work round it now. But that’s my decrepit body not a slight on her skills, she identified the issue pretty quick and helped with a letter for the docs to get me an MRI etc.

Anyway if that’s handy location for you I’d recommend.

I was recommended Rise at the Redpoint climbing centre by Uni colleagues who run, cycle and climb. They do all sports physio. Had popping in one hip from upping my walking / jogging exercise (starting to jog and carrying weight walking), and in one session with Simon he diagnosed the issue and gave exercises and a solution (shoe heel wedge) that resolved it. Money very well spent.
