Forks are about a year old, not much use, but I’ve always noticed there’s a bit of stiction on the forks when sat on the bike. Off the bike and cycling the fork they feel fine, nice and smooth. But sat on the bike and the fork seems to take a little push to get going …

I’ve just done a lower service when I installed my Luftkappe, so don’t think that’s the problem. Any ideas?

Had mine 4 years no problems here. Low speed set to 5 and 2 tokens 60psi and 68kg rider plus camlbak. Suspect its lack of use. The rubber seals will go hard. Constant use moves them and oil over them etc keeps the supple. I don’t have luftkappe. TF service them each year.

If you don’t do much riding then why luftkappe?

Mine seem quite sticky too, 2 year old DPA model. Done the lower leg service twice and serviced the air spring too but haven’t replaced any of the seals yet.
Damper feels a bit sticky when cycling it without lower legs on.
I’d send them for service but it is too late for my holiday next week.
