‘The Glasgow Adventure’ err, no more like a trip round a very small part of the swanky west end…

@iainc….because East Kilbride was too far and I didn’t fancy heading up into Possil and having our bikes and shoes nicked from us by some high spirited youths as we rode along! ha! Ha! That said, it would have definitely added to the adventure element. This being Singletrack and not Gritty Poverty Porn Quarterly, I’m not sure the readership would really want to see and read about the darker side of the city although being on e bikes, we might have stood a pretty decent chance of getting away!

Enjoyed the article, Sanny – thanks. Great to see pics of so many familiar places. I had to do a double take … it looked like Dave was coming out of my old close … but same close, different door. Just round the corner I should think. That was braw looking cake … might have to swing by next time I’m in that neck of the woods.

From our last conversation … I did get back on my bike … could have done with an ebike … had to keep stopping on the climbs as my heart threatened to rattle itself loose. Absolutely loved it once I finally remembered how to ride a bike. 😃

Good on you! That’s great that you got back riding again.

The close we filmed in was in Polwarth Street near the bowling club.

The sweet treats in both The Bakery and Berto’s Brownies are magic. Well worth a visit!

I’m looking forward to a rerun of the Subway challenge (no, not how many tuna mayo subs you can eat in 5 mins).

Hapless would be a kind description. Utterly inept would be more accurate! Ha! Ha!
