Do you have to use Stans valves with these as I can’t get them to hold air with my current valves?

I’ve used the Superstar ones as a cheaper option.

Just knock up a “seal” out of an old bit of inner tube, works for me.

I’ve used Shimano and Specialized tubeless valves on them with no issues.

    Are you using sealant?

Roval ones work too. But I didn’t have good results with Mavic.

Cut the valve from an old tube, do up tight.

Yeah, Mavic ones are shaped for the UST rims, suspect they wouldnt’ play nice with Stan’s rims.

The lump of rubber around the valve can be a problem which is why Stan designed his to be flat here. YMMV.

top tip , if your having issues with valves sealing ….

dod o mastic in the hole and stick the valve through.

Never had a problem with a valve cut out of an old inner tube, though have had to get a pair of grips out to properly tighten the lock ring thing.

Edit: Had a pair of specialized ones a while back, rubbish as you couldn’t remove the valve core!
