I need some wheels for a 29er build and have been offered some Crests but after looking on the Stans website it recommends a 190lb weight limit. I’m about 210lb fully loaded. Will the wheels explode as soon as I sit on the bike or do you think the weight limits err on the side of caution?

Mine haven’t exploded, i’m pretty much the same.

Following some injury induced weight gain it appears I’m over this limit too (didn’t even realise there was one, tbh). Mine have been fine.

AFAIK, the weight limit is for their wheel builds, not the rims themselves.

I’ve had zero issues with my crests, and I’m about your weight, have them on the Soul, use them for trail riding and larking about in the woods, lots of 3ft drops/jumps without any hassle.
