what are these hubs like in use/weight etc compared to say Hope evo?

The rears are excellent. Lighter and faster rolling than Pro IIs and with a much more subtle ticking rather than the Hope clack. Bearing life is similar to the Hopes and are similarly easy to change. You have to be slightly wary fitting the cassette due to the way the cassette body is splined but it is not a problem at all in use.

The fronts are not quite so good though. QR hub is a bit weird with the asymmetrical flanges meaning a slightly weaker wheel build (the tensions don’t work out as close side to side as they would with closer sized flanges) and the HD hubs 20mm adapters are a bit annoying as they are only held on with an o-ring and have a habit of falling off when you remove the wheel. They invariably roll somewhere frustrating. If you’re going 15mm though then they’re pretty much fine.

I’ve gone Pro II front with a 3.30 on the rear on my wheels which works really well.
