Bradford MDC have become more proactive in opening up their woodland, parks and open access land to MTB. St Ives, being full of other users, is a bit more complicated for them. BMDC asked SingletrAction to come up with a proposal (some of us live in Bingley and surrounding area). We started volunteer trail building there last month. It’s pretty small scale in the whole scheme of things and St Ives will certainly not become a ‘centre’ or ‘hub’, but what we proposed/will build will add interest and legalise sections for local bikers who already dip in and out of the estate on bigger rides. One proposed section we hope might become a grand finale to the Bingley Bash/Hard’en fast routes.

Re riding in that area, Harden Moor is great and it’s BMDC open access land, so they ‘tolerate’ mtb on there. Bingley Bash is good especially the ‘local knowledge’ versions.
