I’ve just bought new gears for a bike, SRAM NX mech, GX Shifter, 11spd chain and Sunrace 11spd cassette. Same as I have already, except NX mech rather than GX. All 11spd.

When I wired it up this morning, the mech shifted 11-10 fine, then on the next click jumped halfway up the cassette, and the next off the back of the cassette into the spokes (I know the stop needs setting).

I can’t figure why the strange behaviour and need to spend time on it later, but before I start – are GX and NX compatible? Again, all 11 spd kit.

    Yep

Thanks. Had another look – it seems the shifter is “double shifting”, moving 2 gears for each click. Is this normal? My other GX shifter doesn’t do this.

Double check you’ve routed the cable through the rear mech correctly – quite a convoluted route on SRAM mechs.

Yep, the cable had slipped out of the routing guide on the mech which I hadn’t noticed 👍
