My boss has just bought a second hand bike under my recommendation and it seems to have a faulty LH shifter. I have only ever run Shimano so just wanted to confirm the shifter is caput and whether it can be fixed.
Basically it will shift from granny to middle ok but then goes completely floppy and wont even try to pull the cable to move to the big ring.
I did wonder whether for some reason it had a 2 speed shifter on it – but surely you would come to a dead stop after the first shift (not go floppy)
Anyone else experienced this – Its 9 speed, cant remember what flavour
