Does anyone have any experience with how these things link together? I’ve never used one before

I’ve entered the Dales Divide event in April and was told to hire a Spot Tracker as it’ll be displayed on the trackleaders website. I’ve reserved one this morning from Track Trail.

Will the tracking appear automatically on trackleaders or do I need to register on trackleaders (If so how?!). I’m just a bit confused as to how the tracker that I’ve hired is linked to me / the event / trackleaders.

It’s a while since I did it but you should get a link to the trackleaders sign up page from the event organiser. You then need to enter your details, the SPOT serial number and URL to register. Looking back through my emails the below was from Alan for the HT550 trackleaders.

For those of you renting trackers you should be able to get the serial number and shared location page URL from your provider before you actually receive the unit.
