Looking at two road bikes (sorry) and unsure of which to go for. One is an own brand bike and has 105, carbon frame, 18lbs. The other is a reputable brand, has a carbon frame, looks a lot nicer, but is 20lbs and has tiagra. Also it’s more expensive.

Which would you go for? I’m thinking how I won’t want to ride something which I don’t like the look of. But I’ll kick myself for spending more and getting less just for the paintjob.

Spec/weight. If you get into road riding it’ll be a never ending quest to lose weight (off your bike and off yourself).

well I’m thinking frame swap is easy if I really hate it. losing 2lbs is not easy any time !
