I’m going to buy myself a nice shiney pair of summer spd shoes, and I’m looking at these two models. Price, I’m OK with, but as I’m not a racer, I’m wondering if the XC60 is going to be an uncomfortable, ultra stiff carbon nightmare of a shoe with the XC50 loosing a little in weight and stiffness but gaining in comfort. Any real world experience before I hit the buy button?
And, having had Shimano for the last 15odd years, any other brands I should check out?

I’d almost forgotten people on here rode push bikes.

I’ve got a pair of xc50. I’ve actually been pretty happy with them and despite the lack of mesh I found them fine riding in Turkey in 35 degrees too. They’re also waterproof too which is a nice bonus. They’re not racer stiff but they’re far from flexy and unless you’re a serious racer they’re easily up to the job of xc, etc.
