Staying in Windermere week after next.
I’ve done grizedale and Nan bield before so what else would be worth doing close by that takes around 3 hours
    Garburn plus some extras maybe?

Lots of good rides around here, kentmere is excellent and up garburn and down into troutbeck or start at Ambleside and do loughrigg and rural, over to elterwater and little language onto king moor. Some of it is footpaths but it’s still excellent.

    🙄

Reminds me of the spell-checker on our first computer, which wanted to change Ashton-in-Makerfield to Astonish-in-Mackerel

Garburn and green quarter – dont drop into staveley but keep criss crossing the fell also, easily lose a couple of hours there.

For an ‘experience’ get the ferry over to sawrey, do the claife heights stuff (descend towards colthouse) return via iron keld down through little langdale, through quarries to elterwater, loughrigg terrace, skellghyll wood and home – that could be half a day though, mebbe do the easy way to loughrigg terrace or if you’ve had enough road it to ambleside from the bottom of iron keld and do Skellghyll
