Is the new series available on tellybox now? Internet either says its on FX or its not and download only.

Don’t know the answer to your question but I have one for you and other SoA fans.

I watched the first two seasons a while back on Netflix, enjoyed it but lost interest at the start of season three as it just seemed so one note, ‘SAMCRO/Jax is in trouble, quick let’s do some crimes and get out of this trouble’. there doesn’t seem any light and shade, it’s all shade. Does this change at all, character development, comic relief, anything?

I think there is some comic relief, usually where trig is involved. They are an outlaw motorcycle club so the criminal theme is obviously going to continue. I’ve seen it described as “bored housewives for men”, it’s a soap opera-esque guilty pleasure. Very entertaining none the less IMO.

Not really, it’s all pretty grim. But: Very entertaining none the less IMO I agree with.
Season 2 was easily the best.

Just noticed – that link above is season 7! I’ve just started 6 off torrents.

Agree with Dez, although at times it starts to get really dark in the later series.

The stuff with Otto in prison gets worse by the episode. Part is played by the writer too!

I thought 4 was the last televised series…
I think 5 was the series with the black gang leader, Damon Pope.
I watched 5 (and now 6) on downloads.

5 is on netflix, 6 will apparently as soon as 7 starts in the US.

Yep. Watch it through airplay on the apple TV.

I don;t think I’ve watched it since they went off on some ridiculous trip to fake Ireland.

yeah that was my tipping point. when they got stopped by armed police, and just beat them up and rode off. Ridiculous

i got through to the second episode of season six and binned it off. I used to really enjoy it but it got so miserable and depressing that even trig couldn’t redeem it

Pretty much the same for me, I forced myself through the Irish episodes which were really really bad.

It’s almost like they let a different person write each episode, early on they started to try and give some depth to Jax and his lady Dr but that all went to pot pretty quickly.

And as for the CIA angle…

Oh god i forgot how crap that was. Nearly as bad as the Irish “we’re definitely not filming this in California” (wink wink) stuff

I quite like it, it is easy to watch without taxing your brain.

A lot better than 99% of the stuff on telly at the moment…

I had a big break between season 1 and 2, then watched season 2,3 and half of 4 in quick succession and am now struggling. I find Jax annoying, his Dr lady annoying, most of the stuff they do annoying but I still keep watching as sometimes it is really good!

I agree it does get a bit darker as the series progress. Does this continue to season 5+6? I do want to watch the rest of it but I am lacking motivation to do so since I found Parks and Recreation (which is the polar opposite of SOA)!

Like many of these series, they seem to get to involved in the personal back-story of various individuals, to the detriment of the story as a whole. I watched the first two series, then got bored and binned it, much like Lost, the series about superheroes the name of which escapes me, and NCIS went that way for a while with Ray and all his ‘issues’!
I don’t want to know the characters ‘issues’, or whatever; it’s just annoying.

Welcome mate. It’s a good site, they have most of the good US series on there bang up to date.
SOA was a slow burner as most of the first eps are; just setting the scene.

Despite the below average acting and Jax’s terrible accent (Hunnam been from Newcastle),
I love it but the wife loves it more (I can’t understand why?!)

Season 7 is I believe the final season,
Loved the Queen tribute, Pure white trash cheese!

I quite like it – yes it’s very silly but better than most stuff on TV.

I’m a bit behind because I never pay attention to Channel Five and it’s offshoot stations.
