Thanks to everyone for all the kind words, not to mention the good advice!
Will be getting him to try a tricked out Tiguan, a ditto Yeti and a Volvo V60 I think. Scooby Forrester looks OK, but I’m not sure it’s really up to the level of what he’s after, also I suspect that MotherFlash might not like it! (Then again, she’s going to be keeping the convertible, so what say should she have in it! 🙂 )

There’s a new 2WD freelander out that Clarkson rates as pretty good in the times this weekend if 4WD isn’t a necessity. My money would probably go on a Honda CRV though.
