Football is a bunch of ar*e at the moment! Arnautovic needs to be docked 2 weeks wages for being such a knob. Silver lining at least Hernandez has shown he knows where the goal is again.

You should be up there at the end though Binners/Junkyard. I said at the time when Jose signed up – he delivers titles. Nightmare scenario for me and the ABU’s is that he’s matured a bit and won’t have a third season meltdown 😆

Great win for the ‘club in crisis’ versus the self-appointed best team in the league

Silly from Walker, both harsh decisions, but having got the first yellow stepping across like that even with minimal contact invited the referee to make a decision.

    I don’t think 3 5 2 is city’s best formation, when Mendy is fit I would prefer them to go 4 5 1.

It was harsh, but that look over the shoulder was the invitation for him to make a meal of it. When you’re already on a (deserved) yellow, thats just stupid

City don’t look look that convincing going forward though. And that was with eleven men. Everton are defending well

Edit: they’re looking better now they’re down to ten men

In the spirit of early season sweeping generalisations have City signed another dud keeper?

ours should be alright, I’m realistic enough to know it’s just a 3rd place battle between us and anderlecht, doable.

We’ll do one of the other 2 at celtic park, just for giggles! 😆

utd draw looks decent, should get through that no great worries.

Draw has been kind to both Manchester teams and Liverpool, Chelsea should also go through maybe second in the group after Atletico. Spurs have an uphill battle though.

Sigurdsson landed an absolute bomb tonight in Everton’s Europa league game, phenomenal goal. .

That was an absolutely bonkers game! 😯

Bournemouth deserved a point out of that

    MSP

You can feel for Bournemouth, having held on for so long then conceding so late. But that was a definite red card for Ake in the first half, Jesus would have been one on one with the goalie if not for the foul, if there had been defensive cover it would barely have merited a yellow, but there wasn’t and that makes it a cold stone red.

City need a target man in the box, someone who they can bring on and can score headed goals or hold the ball up for the runners. As great as Sergio and Jesus are, they both are similar in wanting the ball into feet in the box, it allows the defending team to execute a plan to shut them out.

    binners

Yep, definitely a straight red, that. Couldn’t understand how he stayed on the pitch. If you’re the last man then you’re walking. Mike Dean had a shocker all round though really

There’s an article in the guardian today saying far from strengthening the squad, Mike Ashley is insisting more players are sold.

It really is tragic what’s happened to Newcastle under his ownership. Apparently he is trying to sell the club though. I’m sure nobody will be sorry to see the back of him. Least of all Rafa

    mikewsmith

Given the amount of crap that needs to go I can understand the sell then buy approach. Mitrovich needs gone and apparently there were no offers at all. We just got shot of a 50k/week lad who hardly played and will never play again.

    Edit then the idiot scores

Who cares so long as somebody buys him before gets sent off again or they realise he can’t run.

Bilic first for the chop? I said near the start of last season he is the new Martinez, taking over a well organised defensive team flattered him in his first season, now it is his team and methods and he is coming up short.

    shortbread_fanylion

Yep, probably – he’s had long enough, and spent enough too. Surprised at Palace’s shambolic start.

So we sold a 30 goal a season striker- to Burnley – and we’ve scored four league and five cup goals in three games without him. Chris who?

Arsenal have bottled replacing Wenger for far too many years now.

Arsenal were terrible, can’t see Wenger lasting long.
