Got my signed copy with stickers today, delivered by regular RM postie.

For those that have received their (signed) copies who was the courier? RM?

It was an actual postie, pushing a cart full of mail.

I’ve been reading through it carefully, both Jo’s main text, and especially the art, because there’s all the tiny little notes written in and around the frames, and the song lyrics along the top of each page. I’ve recognised a couple, but I can’t remember the name of the song!

I’ve got as far as ‘The death of Mint’ page, which I remember very well! I do actually have a ‘Death of Mint’ tee shirt, I’ll have to look it out and wear it again. For those not familiar with the shirt design, it’s the centre strip where Mint get hit with the crossbow quarrels; ‘thwip, thwip…’

Just don’t refresh the page if you get the error and you won’t get a double post. Go to the task bar and hit enter/go instead of refreshing. Or if you do refresh, say no to the the “resend information…” thingy that pops up.

Edit: lolz, I got it when posting this. I suspect the error is to do with the redirect to the recent post after posting, because the post always works and the url shown in the bar is to the plain thread (no page or post number). That may be rubbish though, and is pretty irrelevant anyway… what was my point again?

TL;DR: If you get the error, a quick ctrl+L and hit enter will sort you quickest if on Windows, or 2 taps on your phone.

Well that just gave me a warm wash of nostalgia. I’ll have to look for mine later; virtually lived in that t in the mid-90s.

Mine arrived yesterday. I’ve just ordered another book to actually read, the other (signed) going to keep nice on the bookshelf… just gently flicking through it was somewhat emotional ?

Ours arrived yesterday – Christmas present, so not opened it yet. Postie dumped it on the doorstep and foxtrot oscared which I was a bit disappointed with – came back from a nightride to find it there waiting for me. Fortunately wasn’t raining…

Have been bollocked that with Christmas coming I should have volunteered it as an option.

I didn’t as A) I wanted certainty it would be bought and B) I darent ask for nearly £60 worth of book and stickers!

My two copies arrived today, one for a mate/ex gf who used to read my mbuk in the 90’s as she loved Mint, and one for my bro to give to me.

Dispatch email this morning, arrived in the post as well this morning!- handed to wife to wrap for me for Christmas… Didn’t even pop the cardboard.

Looking forward to opening mine Christmas day as well… even avoiding scans and photos promoting the book!

Yeah, I’m going to buy another for the same reason – it’s something I know I’ll keep going back to. And yes, as I think JoB acknowledges, it’s rather strange that a cartoon sheep on a mountain bike can arouse such an intense emotional response, but that just shows the strength of Jo’s ability as an artist.

Mine arrived this morning and was promptly confiscated to be given back on Christmas morning. Well, I hope it  is because I didn’t have chance to open the cardboard envelope.

There could well be some raised eyebrows if it’s not.

OMG! The Fuscia Frisian! I’d forgotten that one, and now there’s an overwhelming amount of ‘I need that shirt!’, and it’s an XL, too.

Honestly, though, while I could afford it, it’s a lot of money and there’s the £20-odd postage as well.
