Here the missus is on call so I reckon I’ll have a 6 pack and watch some winter olympics while she goes off to deal with a dog with the shits…

Flowers delivered to work…. a few quid and about 2 mins worth of effort online. I would suggest that on a cost/benefit basis, this is a no brainier.

Completely agree about the whole overly-commercialised, “hallmark-day” arguements…… but it’s possible to be right, and still lose 😀

I am at football training tonight with the kids so last night we had a nice meal and a few glasses of wine and started watching the Breaking Bad dvd she gave me for Christmas (think I am going to enjoy that, not sure how it passed me by). Gave her a card and some flowers.

Bottle of fizz which we can both enjoy and a card. We’re having a weekend away on our own next weekend to avoid all the over hyped bollocks and expense!

I’ve received a card and a very nice bottle of red, in exchange I’m cooking her a fancy meal later. This works as I love both wine and cooking, she too loves wine and indeed eating.

I’m expecting her to arrive back from her week away with friends at some point this morning while I’m at work & deal with the washing up and hoovering.
I’m more likely to get a sarcastic text and the chance to do it myself when I get home from work
Still, taking her out for dinner tonight and have even sortd a taxi so we can both have a drink, that will help!

My youngest Daughter has just received a card and single rose from the boy down the street, they’re both 7.

Bought a card (only a couple of quid so less than a pint – hardly being done over by the greetings cards industry). Tonight we are going to make homemade biscuits with a bottle of something nice together. It’s just about spending fun time together for me.
