It would appear the mazdas knackered sound system is down to the amp being broken. 2010 bose factory fitted fully built in to the dash etc

    £300?

One on eBay for £150 so I just doubled it for a dealer price.

    $100m

Is the amp definitely in the dash? I just commented on your other thread about my Navara being a Bose and it’s under the seat – seem to remember my older style Mazda 6 being the same

Bose, including labour? Somewhere between £500 and £1,000 I’d hazard.

    Too much Taylor Swift?
    Especially messy inclement weather dogging?

You’ve not got back op so everyone has moved on now. But as Renton says you can get after market stuff for your car, so who gives a stuff what Mazda want.

Sorry I got way laid searching the Internet for another option. 872 of your pounds please wrightyson. I declined and said I’d rather buy a new car before paying that 😯

Did they know it was urgent though?

I was quoted £572 to fix and service some RS forks a few months ago.
Less urgent, but no less economically redonculous.

£872 hmmmm… Aktchewally not a bad quote, assume it’s a dealer fit there.

Are you selling all your Plums or just the left one? 😆

£24.99 (if its the right one)

    or
£109.99 if you want a load of speakers too
    More Clicky

If not I’d pull the existing one out and compare to the pics for other mazdas(or even other brands) and see if its shared with other vehicles.

I’m currently driving a 2007 mazda 6, if its the same unit you could have the whole **** car for less than that.

My 2006 Mazda 3 has the amp & sub. under the front seats. Most likely the same for yours, a few manufacturers do that.

Amp under the passenger seat. 872 is dealer. Local electrics place want 400 quid to send away to be repaired.
Breakers wanting 250 but don’t like the idea of that as no warranty.
Can’t see how you can put aftermarket stuff in as the head unit is all built in yo the dash.
Less urgent now as I’ve been for a nice bike ride and I don’t need to drive thexar again for a while…

Evening’. Even a cackhanded type can remove the whole central dash in minutes and reassemble. Most of the connectors are plug n play.
