    Can you set them to come on at 6am but gradually?
    Something to replicate the sun coming up.

    Yep, with my Lifx bulbs I can tweak the times on/off, fades (on/off) and the colour temp all the way from orangey to blue-white.

    I do exactly what you propose with mine.

    It’s a shame you asked this question this morning because yesterday you could’ve got a lifx bulb and an amazon echo dot for under £25. 😉

    I find my Philips Hue in the bedroom is too bright even on it’s lowest (1%) setting – it seems really dim once you’re awake but the transition from dark room to 1% wakes me up so isn’t having the desired sunrise effect. I need to experiment with a colour bulb as coming on 1% deep red or something should hopefully not wake me up…

    Yeah, philips hue lights have specific wake up routines the you can set in the app for different days with fade in time etc.

    Edit, agree the lowest setting can be a bit bright depending on what lamp the bulb is in. I think you would have to set a timer rather than wake up routine for different colours to fade in.
