Looks like I may be able to get a weekend in Tokyo before the season is out.

I’d be looking at jumping on a bullet train for a couple of days on the slopes. Gala Yuzawa looks like the easiest option?

    Any suggestions STW?

    Thanks
    Ben

Tokyo for a weekend?? Sounds like a jetset lifestyle you have yourself 😉
I lived in Niigata for 3 years and would always recommend anything there or in Nagano. Not too bad a ‘bullet’ journey from Tokyo–although you’re pretty strapped for time.
Make sure you check out a natural onsen apres-ski!

    Thanks trebord.

FWIW, I live in Singapore and will be there for work but hoping to wangle a free weekend. I’d stay longer but holiday days (20 a year) 🙁 are too precious.

All of a sudden, I don’t like you very much, Ben! 🙂

Check out Snowheads, loads of great advice over there.

Mate lived in Nagano for 2 years and said skiing was good fun, although he is a snowboarder.
