    Team Singletrack

My folks have moved to Cullumpton. Any pointers to some good singlespeed riding close by?

Been over to Exmoor a few times (mostly geared) – not ventured into blackdowns yet though.

Anything on the ‘doorstep’ would be just the ticket…..

    Cheers

No idea about singlespeeding but woodbury common isn’t too far from c’lumpton. Can be a bit boggy this time of year but great in the summer.

Cully isn’t really my area of expertise.. too many fingers and toes on the folk round that way..
However.. it is pretty central.. you’ll be pretty much as near to Woodbury as you are Haldon.. Exmoor and Dartmoor.. Stoke Woods and Ashclyst Forest are much closer and lie between Cully and Exeter to the south.. not sure what’s available in the other directions.. Quantocks to the North I think..

    Thanks

It’s the usual thing – there looks like lots to explore, but have until now kept to most of the obvious rides around Ex and Dart.

Another ride (other than up to Dunc Beacon) has been requested by Mrs GDRS.

i really wouldn’t bother. boggy mess, rarely dries out even in summer. very little that can be linked up into a good ride.

although it does have some good road climbs.
