Lots of wee green buds all round the garden, and there is a blackbird outside singing its wee orange beak off (at 5am). Although I do feel a wee bit sad that we haven’t had a proper cold snap yet, but there’s still time.

    Bring on spring.

Signs of spring? I haven’t even seen signs of winter yet! All it’s been is the old mild day in the last 7 or 8 weeks or relentless rain & wind…

I have a Witchazel in my garden, in full flower now, prob 2-3 weeks earlier than normal

no cold weather forecast for next few weeks up until 20th feb, so buy then surely we have less chance of anything artic happening, or not for long

Wish spring and summer would hurry up. Cant be doinh with these single figure temperature s. Anything 15 Celsius and above for me.
And the mud is beginning to bore me, and hurt my washing machine.

when all the boring so&sos stop doing dry january it will improve.
all that liquid has to go somewhere you know.

i predict a very short coldish snap, followed by a wet spring and sub aqua summer.

I’ve been living up here in Aberdeenshire for long enough to know that some snow is still on the cards this year. But the snows that arrive in March/April don’t tend to hang around for long so we are running out of time for that Worst Winter in Decades we were promised.

A carpet of bluebell bulbs are pushing up through the ground in the local woods.
    Snowdrops and crocii abound.
All sorts of buds n blossom all peeking tentatively.
    I cant wait this year….
