Mrs Wombat and I need to replace our duvet as the filling in our current one (feathers)has all clumped together into the corners.

We’d like a synthetic one which has a thinner and thicker quilt that can be used together in the winter, ideally about 13 tog in total.

Anywhere we should look apart from John Lewis or M&S?

    Mine’s from http://www.theduvetstore.co.uk

    It’s nice.

JL stuff seems to be deliberately overpriced so it can be discounted back to normal prices for sales.

A friend recommended the Fine Bedding Company and have been extremely impressed. Can’t believe how light a duvet can be, don’t feel weighted down at all and far superior to my usual M&S duvets. In fact I bought one for the guest bedroom with mattress toppers as well.

You can get them online from various retailers.

Mw and Mdm Kormoran got a wool duvet last winter. It is absoflippin awesome. I thought our old downie was nice but the wool blows it away. Never go back.

It’s weird, it is super cosy but you never overheat. It is probably half the thickness of the downie but wraps close to your body so no airgaps

It is made in the uk by these folk, we got a second half price from the bargain bin but I couldn’t see what was wrong with it. http://www.baavet.co.uk/baavet-products/wool-duvet

Many times this.. We’ve had a wool duvet for a few years now, they are awesome. Warm in the winter cool in the summer and you don’t get all hot and sweaty under it (steady! 😯 )
The are a bit heavier than a regular feather or synthetic duvet but Mrs and I both find we sleep much better with it.

A down quilt every time in my opinion. I find synthetic ones far to sweaty. Down is just right whatever the temperature.
