    If the photo loads. unpacking some woolen floor underlay and this angry bugger popped out red in colour.
    In top trump’s terms

    So someone got the photo on lol thanks.
    I’ve seen a few false widows but that’s the biggest I’ve seen the size put me off IDing it as one.
    It’s in the shed now.

    Not seen one around the house or garden yet, although I did find one once behind a rinsing bath at a place I used to work at. I evicted it because I didn’t want to find out if I was among those particularly sensitive to their bite! I hadn’t realised there are six different species here in the U.K…

    Pah, call that a spider. Much bigger guard dog spiders in my garage protecting the bikes.
