Only got one ride in due to the weather and being a lazy bastard these days.
Was a good one thought at 30 miles and 1500M of climbing.

So show us where you went.

No pictures. Was too knackered and grumpy pushing up most of Walna Scar. Nice views of Scafell Pike, IOM and Snowdonia though, you’ll have to take my word for it.

@cruzcampo, seems to me Stu was riding in the Black Mountains.

@stu love that route. Last time we did it was end Jan and it was a proper grim day out. Yours looks a lot more appealing 🙂

What is this bank holiday thing, at the end of August? 😉

Forgot to charge the camera – went to Aberfoyle and headed off round the forest with a couple of icky feeling OAB’s, so a shorter ride, but glorious weather.

We also played on the tiny Aberfoyle bike park, that the local’s are doing their best to hide by not signing it, and allowing the entrances to grow over with bushes and weeds. 😕

They are indeed. T’was a quick bit of XC up and over the ‘stones, then a little bit of cheeky to link back into the trails at Eastridge, a quick smash round the reds/blacks there, and another bit of cheeky back to the car 😉

No riding for me this bank holiday, but have done a bit of building.

Hoses now trimmed. Reverb in the workshop ready to fit, and waiting on crankset to be (hopefully) delivered tomorrow.

    Yeah, patio, weeds, fence, paint…

Stiper stones/Eastridge for me too Saturday.
This was going into the ‘Knife-edge’ descent. Brilliant. Couldn’t stop if I wanted to…

Sunday I was riding at Revolution Bikepark, and checking out the building for round two of the Red Bull Quarter Masters in a couple of weeks..
Totally mental build, and despite what the behind the scenes video would have you believe, most of the hard work has been done by the great folks at Revolution. Unbelievable set-up in that quarry there…

@ kayak – I like your pics – one of my favourite neck of the woods, with the stone circles near by.

Is it better to do a loop and incorporate say the Stipers as well (as Eastridge is ‘short’)?

I must admit to filming my ashton court ride Sunday morning and learnt a few things

    1) I’m really really slow…
    2) These things are really boring for anyone else.
    3) you need a good air shot/or comic crash.
    4) cheap sd cards are gack corrupted files of where I accidentally took the red down the steps.
    5) The gods of mtb were shining on me and it turned out best part of the ride.

SJ4000 well worth £56 quid though
