I have three sets of 23″ flat bars. Are these a bit retro and unsual now? Talking of retro, also have a set of World Force risers and a Cinelli Angel bar. Can’t find many pics though. Anyone using Salsa Bend bars?

What’s wrong with riding in sandals ?
I’m often riding in sandals!

(I will grant you that my Sugoi arm-warmers don’t match my shirt tho’ – but I couldn’t get the rainbow coloured versions when I bought these).

Here’s another view of the bike / bars, this time without distractions.

I’m liking these ‘bars – I ride on Midge’s normally, but only very rarely down in the drops, most of the time I’m up on the hoods, and these feel quite similar to being in that position.

Wanted drop bar comfor for a SSCx set up (waiting for new forks and narrow tyres). The hydraulic disk brakes limits bar diameter. NOw sporting Ergon grips, they are excellent.

Salsa bend 2s here. 17 deg flavour. I switched to them after having my right wrist partially fused and they are ace. Very comfy and my mates often comment on how natural they feel even with normal wrists. I run them with deluxe bar extenders which gives a lovely bit of extra width and control.

I like bendy bars, they suit my fused right, and stiff grinding left wrists.

and for the record……….my hair is naturally that colour…. 8)

There’s a new On-One “OG” bar coming soon in aluminium or carbon options.

I had alloy and carbon carnagies on My old bike – would love another set, but they wouldn’t suit my current bike.

I really rate ergonomic grips on ‘flat’ bars, they made a disproportionately impressive difference to my ride comfort.

Hmm, I’m wearing knee warmers too. I spend a lot of time my time my feet bare, and in pretty much most weather too, so they are used to it (plus I don’t really like shoes).

That’s only due to the awkward / stupid angle I’m sitting up at, to take that picture. It’d be a nightmare if it was like that to ride (ride properly).
