Looking to get a frame resprayed, thinking about grey but not sure.

Anyone had their bike resprayed grey?

Will be built with all black components.

Are matte silver/metal coloured bikes allowed?

I have one of these in grey – the colour doesn’t show up scratches and I think has aged well. It also goes well with hope blue.

Weirdly, all the photos I have of this finished build are in B&W, but this 1/2 way through the build gives a decent impression on how it looks. Grey with black components and white accents.

Grey frames need a hint of colour I think.

Silver ≠ grey. Grey could, theoretically, have a coloured fork with it but any other colour, particularly anodised tat, is degrading.

Munro’s Evil is spot on and cjr’s Singular, very classy. I wish I had the nounce to post pictures as I have a lovely resto-mod Trek OCLV 5200 in a silvery grey which has been in the loft for a few years only to be resurrected this year and it feels like I’ve got a new bike.

Just realised they’re all grey! Clockwise: ‘Putty’, ‘Satin grey’, ‘Gunmetal grey metallic’

The (matte) ‘putty’ grey appears to change temperature quite dramatically depending on lighting/conditions. Sometimes cool light grey (below), sometimes almost a very warm pale green/cream (above). I really like that quality in a colour.

My old Slackline. Great little bike.
I always prefer grey bikes with black components, not a big fan of ano stuff but if done right they can look good..
