Who waxes / shaves their legs?
Shave? I do.
Started off doing it when racing cross; far easier to put embrocation on shaved legs in a freezing carpark, then far far far easier to get it off along with all the mud at the end. Carried on while road racing, same reasons really, especially when driving a long way home and no access to showers.
I wear lycra a lot to ride in and suncream goes on quicker too.
Plus, I prefer the look, being blessed with mad hairy legs..
People who get all excited about it are a wee bit silly; do it if you want to, don’t if you don’t, and it’s ultimately none of your business…Posted 6 years agoRealManMember
I’ve done mine, its really nice, my wife hates it as I stop at the bottom of the shorts, so I have hair shorts with my kit off
This is horrible. You have to go at least up to the eyebrows.
I’d been off the bike for a while, so hadn’t bothered shaving in a while. Rather then hacking away at the hideousness that was my legs, I had them waxed. But it didn’t give a super smooth finish, so I shaved them as well.Posted 6 years agodruidhMember
Seriously considering it. Strangely enough, I think it works better for mountain biking than road biking as I hate getting big matted lumps of mud stuck to my legs. Even worse is pulling them off and pulling the hair out along with it. OUCH!!!
I’m not sure that hairless legs and a kilt is a good look though….Posted 6 years ago
